Why is there a possibility that there will be a shortage of SSBB? I simply don't understand.

Well, I don't know. I hear there was a bug that caused all the discs to have to be re-mastered. I'm fairly tempted to torrent SSBB JP when it comes out. Sure, I'll have to buy a mod chip, but it'd be worth it.

This looks like the best game I have ever seen. I'm not kidding. When I get it, my life will be complete. It's the game I've waited all my life for.

I think R.O.B was added as a sort of joke character to make the fans laugh.

You know, kind of like Tofu in Resident Evil.
